We have been busy booking lots of activities, including a giant airbag! We are planning to split the camp into 5 subcamps and each subcamp will take part in an activity each day however, we understand flexibility is needed so this will not be set in tablets of stone and participants may be able to swap activities subject to numbers.
Splash is water activities including, Dragon Boating, Rafting & Kayaking,we are looking at you building your own Coracles and then see if they float and race them. This year’ splash is set to be bigger! and even Better! and it’s the Go Zone that all scouts have been waiting for. we have a large number of Kayaks and other craft. we will have a number of rafts and can you be a pirate with the other rafts and obtain the lot and booty
Are you prepared for fun on the Water!!!
Monopoly will be a days adventure in Exeter going to the places the public are not normally allowed.
We will be having activities in the surrounding forestry with the forestry commission Including using the BMX Tracks that we are told are some of the best in the country, but you can judge that. If bringing your own bikes please ensure you have the correct safety equipment for POR. Are you up for the leap onto the “Air Bag” from 10m high!!!
The Go-Zone will be the place for you to take part in on and off site activities
Learn a new circus skill. this could help you achieve the Mini Duke of Edinburgh Award you can earn at the Jamboree. The I Circus team will be holding workshops during the day and evening so you can develop the skills, those who can reach the standard will be allowed to fire juggle or skip in the evening and impress the others.
Stiff and Stilted will also be joining us at Run to the Fun, giving under 18 campers the opportunity to earn one of their coveted Neckers by, over the camp, learning to walk unaided on their 6 Foot high stilts. Please don’t worry they do offer some support.
Go challenge – challenge yourself, your mates or a new friend to either a personal challenge or a team event, including, tag rugby, volleyball, tug of war and lots of other sports and challenges. How good are you at Disc Golf, can you be champion of the week?
Go craft – if you’d like to rest from all the frenetic activities try something more sedate in our craft zone, make a woggle, or paracord bracelet. Why not engrave your own glass as a souvenir. We will have a selection of different crafts and skills that will change throughout the week to ensure there is always something new to try.
You can go green on this zone. This zone will include our environmental project and will be your chance to learn about Recycling
The perfect place to showcase International Scouting. we will show you the opportunities available to you in this area for international scouting and the experience that young people have undertaken with scouting as well as the World Scout Jamborees, there will be an opportunity to find out what we know abut the next World Scout Jamboree and who is eligible.
